that LE edition 2006 is still in my mind. Just change the suspension components, lower it a bit, do a pro alignment and it's perfect. No need of body kits or ground effects.
Now this is what I hate about the NA miata *flamesuit on*, you can do what the hell you want with it, maybe too much. It's like an iPhone or a Android phone, countless hours/days of modding it again and again and again, adding more and more apps but in the end, it makes you busier. It's the opposite of what an smartphone should do and it just never ends.
It's a bit like the NA Miata once you seen all the DIY threads they have. Someone like me will overflow with ideas and tend to do everything all together and not one by one in order. This is my poison. This is why I'm going toward the NC, there's not much DIY stuff for them and it's better this way for me. Come to think of it, no one post NC miatas pictures here.

Hi, i just was wondering if you could help me with something. I'm 6'2 and i have size 13 feet. Do you think i would fit into a 1992 MX-5? I've been looking for a fun second car since my w126 is showing its age. I'll appreciate the help Thank you.

You should be able to fit. If not, some foamsectomy on the seats, a sunvisor delete and replacing the door handle/armrest with a strap will fix the issue. But it's still gonna be a bit difficult to get in and out with the top up because of the ride height, but that's for everyone I think. You really have to try one to see if you can fit in properly. You've chosen the right generation though, the NB got less interior room than the NA. There's owners with over your height driving them with zero fitment issues in them once they did some foamsectomy and people with your height that fit properly without doing any modifications.

What do you think of a BRZ then?

Dunno. Never tried it. Not in my price range, especially for the insurance. That's why I don't have any interest to try it.

Do insurance companies consider it to be an S2000 replacement in the new car market?
It's not a dangerous car, pulling a 3rd gear slide onto a narrow highway onramp at 50 mph and in 3rd gear in the BRZ is as easy to do as figuring out how to enter a Burger King drivethru in a lowered Honda Accord, I would know.
But if insurance companies are as insistent on putting it in the same bracket as an S2000, I would just put minimal insurance coverage on the car, as the law allows.

It's not as bad as the S2000, but it's near. Think of it this way, a brand new Golf GTI and it's hatchback buddies cost way less than the FRS/BRZ to insure where I live. + The hype is too high to buy it or buy aftermarket parts at a cheap price. I'm gonna wait that the hype settles down.

Not dangerous, but they don't like paying for the things.

Errr... I mean, I think the feeling is mutual for me, since they're just taking my money for a service I don't really get or asked for.

Yeah, it's based entirely on having a larger percentage of people who just pay, never collect.
For example..
To make up for the row of Corvettes that guy road-testing the Caprice just ran into. The insurance oracles had already written the cars off, statistically, but the cause was not the usual one. Same result. Big pool o' funds.
I would guess that statistically the Sporting Error is rarer than Minivan Misjudgement. Despite the premiums.

I guess a better idea system is to have the people with higher curb weights pay more insurance premium.

I too have pondered that. Less mass=less damage. Also applied to speeding tickets.
